DNA-read about sex (2)

Here’s last year’s TOP5 most read posts! And can you believe it?

They’re all about sex!

Shocker.

I guess you like to read about sex.

#5: Sex is a Conversation (Sex Part 3)
In this post I’m uncovering the key reality that sexual intercourse is precisely that, a dialogue or conversation. It’s not some specific act or acts that you want to wait for your wedding night to enjoy. It’s a whole way of relating to someone that should be reserved for your marriage partner. Those who fail to grasp this, will struggle with sexual temptation needlessly, both before and after marriage.

#4: Sexually Pure or Pure Legalism? (Sex Part 6)
This was my response to an article in Salon where a young lady blames her divorce on her lack of sexual experience prior to marriage. All the while confessing her sexual experience prior to marriage. Confused? Actually MOST believers are. And that’s why we have divorce.

#3: Watch What You Watch (Sex Part 5)
Here I try to present a practical, instead of legalistic appeal to heed the scripture that reveals that your eye is the lamp of your body. Whether I succeed in this or not, the practical (not legalistic) reality is that most believers ignore this essential truth and then wonder why they fall so easily to sexual sin.

#2: Sex is Like Atomic Energy (Sex Part 1)
In this first post in the series, I introduce the core reason why care in regards to our sexuality is so important. We’ve all heard that sex is wonderful, but the church seems to make it seem bad. But it’s not bad. It’s dangerous. There’s a difference. I try to elucidate the important implications of that difference.

#1: What Farmers Can Teach Us about Fornication (Sex Part 10)
Who knew that so many folks would be captivated by the sex advice of a man in overalls? I guess this is the post where Old MacDonald changes his name to Old MacDaddy. In it we learn about the relationship between sowing and reaping and the relationship between dying and growing. And somehow I relate that to sexual relationships.

Each of these posts comes from a 10-part series I affectionately refer to as The Sexual Intercourse. Though you can read any of the posts alone or in any order, they are best read sequentially. It’s worth it.

In the event that you’d like to read about something other than sex, I’ll present last year’s TOP5 most read NON-SEXUAL posts.

Until then, got a question about sex you don’t see addressed in this series? Shoot me a Facebook message or email. And enjoy the New Year, you hear?

DNA: It’s What’s For Dating

Dug this weekend’s DNA? Tell your friends by liking or commenting on our FMU Facebook page or on your own Facebook page by clicking the button below.

The LoveEd study guide series, Beyond Sex & Salvation, will empower you to prepare for relational success when it counts: BEFORE YOU FALL IN LOVE! It’s NOT for couples, but for any wise individual who thinks they might want to get married sometime before they die. Check out the first two 8-lesson study guides in our store. You can walk through it on your own, but it’s more fun with friends, so consider putting together an FMU LoveEd small group study. Even better?  And ask a married couple you respect to lead it!
